Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips using district-approved routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Enforce student safety protocols and manage classroom behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety policies
- Assist students with mobility needs including wheelchair accessibility
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and make safety-critical decisions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred (training provided)
