Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean buses
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior with positive discipline
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict schedules and traffic regulations
- Complete incident reports and maintenance requests promptly
- Participate in mandatory safety training and recertifications
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Previous child/youth interaction experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
