Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on daily routes and field trips
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adhere to traffic laws and district regulations
- Handle emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with Passenger/School Bus endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Child CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb bus stairs
- Background clearance through Maryland State Police
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
