Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for weather, traffic, and special events
- Complete daily trip logs and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Child First Aid/CPR certification
- Satisfactory MVA driving record (no major violations)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
