Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Enforce student conduct policies and maintain a positive bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic laws and school district regulations
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Provide emergency assistance during transit incidents
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Clear background check and driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience working with children
- Knowledge of Atlanta metropolitan area geography
