Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain daily logs
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to strict schedules and traffic regulations in urban environments
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interiors
- Respond to emergencies and ensure student wellbeing
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate bus stairs
- Knowledge of Baltimore City streets and traffic patterns
