Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate student attendance and route documentation
- Implement emergency procedures and student safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district policies
- Assist students with boarding/alighting and special needs accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Child Passenger Safety Certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility devices
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
