Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Supervise student conduct and enforce safety protocols during transit
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and student needs
- Adhere to strict maintenance and cleanliness schedules for assigned vehicles
Qualifications
- Valid Nevada Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children in a structured environment
- Knowledge of Henderson area roads and traffic patterns
