Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Implement student safety protocols during boarding, transit, and emergencies
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Maintain clean, orderly bus environment and enforce behavioral standards
- Complete required training for student management and safety procedures
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate with fleet services
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- DOT medical certification and clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience working with diverse student populations
- Completion of school bus driver certification program
