Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
- Ensure student safety during boarding, transit, and disembarkation
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with School Bus Endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong commitment to student safety and wellbeing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior calmly and professionally
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility needs
