Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks
- Monitor student behavior and ensure orderly conduct during transport
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to traffic laws and weather-related adjustments in Kansas
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs and special requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and driving record
- Child CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon shifts
- Patience and ability to manage student groups
