Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students along designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain orderly conduct on bus and enforce district safety policies
- Assist students with mobility needs and ensure secure loading/unloading
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and emergency protocols
- Complete daily logs and incident documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B CDL with passenger endorsement (training provided)
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility devices
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish highly desirable
