Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Enforce student conduct policies and create a positive on-bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adapt routes for weather conditions, traffic, and student needs
- Complete required training and certification programs
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe vehicle interior
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR record
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
- Experience working with children preferred
