Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus on designated routes while adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Implement student safety protocols during boarding, transit, and disembarking
- Maintain orderly conduct and positive atmosphere for all passengers
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Respond calmly to emergencies and follow district safety procedures
- Complete accurate trip documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 5 years)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
