Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular events
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain clean, orderly bus interiors and adherence to safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and patience
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adapt routes for weather conditions and traffic patterns
- Complete accurate daily mileage and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 5 years)
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Child CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Fluent English/Spanish bilingual skills a plus
