Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce student conduct policies while maintaining a positive environment
- Adhere to strict traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and transportation coordinators
- Maintain accurate route schedules and student records
- Respond professionally to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Passenger & School Bus Endorsements (or willingness to obtain)
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Experience working with children preferred
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
