Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Enforce behavioral policies ensuring student safety and comfort
- Assist students with boarding/alighting including those with special needs
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in mandatory safety training and drills
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Class B CDL with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass federal background check and fingerprint clearance
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of Phoenix area traffic patterns
- Commitment to student safety above all else
