Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain safety logs
- Manage student behavior and enforce transportation policies
- Adapt routes for traffic/weather conditions and maintain punctuality
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to federal/state transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain clean vehicle interior and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to student safety and punctuality
