Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Create a positive, secure environment for students through clear communication and behavior management
- Coordinate with school staff and parents regarding route changes, delays, or student needs
- Complete mandatory training sessions and certification renewals
- Assist students with boarding, exiting, and securing safety equipment
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus & Passenger Endorsements
- Minimum 3 years driving experience with clean MVR record
- Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and random drug screenings
- First Aid/CPR certification (training provided if needed)
- Excellent communication skills and patience when working with children
- Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, and occasional field trips
