Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes during school hours and field trips
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Implement strict safety protocols for student boarding, exiting, and emergency procedures
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and district-approved discipline methods
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and AISD policies
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with School Bus Endorsement
- Minimum 3 years clean driving record (no major violations)
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Fluent in English with clear communication skills
