Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following all traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Maintain accurate transportation records and logs
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and medical situations
- Ensure proper student loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clear criminal background check
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
