Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transit
- Maintain a secure and orderly environment for all passengers
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all DOT and school district regulations
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with Passenger (P) endorsement
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- CDL training assistance provided if needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Reliable transportation to reporting locations
