Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following traffic laws and district protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
- Maintain student discipline and foster a positive bus environment
- Adhere to strict schedules and communicate delays to dispatch
- Complete accurate daily trip logs and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs and emergency procedures
- Participate in mandatory safety training and route familiarization
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Strong communication skills and patience working with children
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
