Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus routes following strict schedules and traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all DOT and school district safety protocols
- Manage emergency procedures and student incidents professionally
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and patience with children
- Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual a plus)
