Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate student attendance records and route logs
- Implement emergency evacuation procedures as needed
- Provide courteous assistance to students with special needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administrators
- Adhere to all Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) standards
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Texas School Bus Driver Certification required
- Exceptional safety record and clean driving history
- Ability to manage student behavior professionally
- Strong communication skills and patience
- Background clearance through Texas Education Agency
