Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Supervise student behavior during transit and enforce bus rules
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Communicate effectively with school administrators and parents
- Provide first aid assistance during emergencies
- Participate in mandatory safety training and route planning
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Reliable transportation to work locations
