Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and approved field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student conduct
- Maintain accurate route schedules and communication logs
- Report mechanical issues and safety concerns promptly
- Collaborate with parents and school administration
- Complete required training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean MVR
- Ability to obtain CDL with school bus endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Experience working with children preferred
- Knowledge of Honolulu traffic patterns
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
