Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips according to assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Manage student behavior with firm yet positive guidance
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Assist students with mobility needs when required
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Endorsement (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with disabilities
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
