Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus on designated routes following all traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Supervise student conduct and enforce safety protocols
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Adhere to all district and state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass Department of Transportation physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children of all ages
