Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Enforce student conduct policies and ensure safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for weather conditions, traffic, or special events
- Provide first aid assistance when needed
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- School bus or passenger vehicle safety certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
