Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus on designated routes following strict traffic and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Supervise student loading/unloading and enforce behavioral policies
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for field trips and special events as assigned
- Participate in mandatory safety training and certification updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- DOT medical certification and drug clearance
- Pass background check and child safety fingerprinting
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
