Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on established routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and patience
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete accurate trip logs and incident reports
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance scheduling
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or willingness to obtain
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass background check and DOT physical
- Strong commitment to student safety and well-being
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage diverse student populations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections
- Flexibility to adjust to route changes and weather conditions
