Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on assigned routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance readiness
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and care
- Maintain accurate route logs and attendance records
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and patience working with children
- Previous driving experience preferred but not required
