Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Implement student management protocols and ensure safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and school policies
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and special needs accommodations
- Complete incident reports and maintenance documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with Passenger endorsement
- Clean driving record (no DUI/DWI convictions within 5 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of New Orleans street network
