Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district policies
- Assist students with boarding/exiting procedures
- Complete incident and maintenance reports
- Participate in ongoing safety training
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska driver's license (minimum 2 years clean record)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B with P endorsement
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather
- Background clearance and fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon shifts
