Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean buses
- Ensure student safety through proper loading/unloading and behavior management
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Assist students with mobility needs and emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate records and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Strong communication skills and patience with children
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Previous experience with children or transportation preferred
