Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and safety-first approach
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate records including incident reports and mileage logs
- Adhere to strict schedule adherence and punctuality standards
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Patience and ability to work effectively with children
- Willingness to obtain CDL (training provided)
