Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on daily routes and field trips
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce school bus safety protocols and manage student behavior
- Maintain accurate attendance records and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to all Florida traffic laws and district policies
- Assist students with mobility needs and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to assist students with disabilities
