Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following all traffic laws and district protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Supervise student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff regarding transportation schedules
- Follow emergency procedures and ensure student safety during transit
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Adhere to strict safety standards and child protection policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass federal background check and DOT physical examination
- Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification (provided)
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with children
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist students with mobility needs
