Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus routes on established schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and ensure orderly conduct
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Report maintenance issues and maintain clean vehicle interiors
- Assist students with special needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 3 years of safe driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Background clearance through Georgia PSC
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and compassion when working with children
