Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes in New Orleans
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Supervise students during transport and enforce bus rules
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete accurate daily trip logs and incident reports
- Assist students with special needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record and passing background check
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Pass DOT physical examination
