Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus on designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior management
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and dispatch
- Maintain clean, orderly bus interior and emergency equipment
- Report incidents, delays, and maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota CDL Class B with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
