Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients at delivery sites.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations or DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, highway safety, and navigation.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
