Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to commercial and residential locations
- Optimize daily routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Obtain delivery confirmations and resolve customer inquiries professionally
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to communicate delivery status and route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Wichita metropolitan area roadways
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for delivery tracking systems
