Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products on established routes throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia
- Plan efficient daily routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries and minimize fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Inspect vehicles before and after routes to ensure mechanical safety and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Build positive relationships with clients through professional communication and service excellence
- Adapt to changing delivery priorities and traffic conditions while maintaining on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with route delivery background
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment safely
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills for multi-stop deliveries
- Excellent customer service communication abilities in diverse urban environments
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
