Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods on designated routes
- Load/unload merchandise efficiently with proper lifting techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Optimize routes to meet delivery timelines and fuel efficiency standards
- Communicate delivery status and delays promptly to dispatch team
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach area and surrounding regions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency for delivery tracking systems
