Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to designated locations throughout San Jose and surrounding areas
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure maximum efficiency
- Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or customer issues
- Represent the company professionally with exceptional customer service at every delivery point
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience in urban delivery environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate pallet jacks/dollies
- Strong knowledge of San Jose street navigation and Bay Area traffic patterns
- Basic computer literacy for route tracking and delivery documentation systems
- DOT physical certification and ability to pass mandatory drug screening
- Reliable attendance and punctuality with flexible scheduling availability
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
