Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods on designated routes throughout NYC boroughs
- Plan optimal daily routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload packages with precision while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of NYC streets, traffic patterns, and delivery zones
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic math proficiency for inventory and delivery documentation
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
