Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles safely and efficiently within assigned routes and time windows.
- Load and unload merchandise from the truck using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Deliver goods to customers with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and professional customer service.
- Complete all required delivery documentation, including bills of lading and mileage logs, accurately and on time.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve any delivery issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) or equivalent commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a valid DOT medical card and pass a drug screen/background check.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial driving or route delivery.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and dispatchers.
- Strong physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle for commuting to the terminal.
