Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated delivery routes within the Jacksonville area and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as required, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Handle customer interactions professionally, resolving delivery issues and obtaining signatures upon delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a professional Route Driver.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local Jacksonville and Northeast Florida roadways.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and inventory management.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
